Happy New one and all!

december 31st 2007

Well this is the last post of 2007 and i will be very happy for this year to be gone! I just hope that 2008 is a much better year!

Today has been very dreary but warmer than the last few weeks, days like this are good for staying home and stitching lol

Talking of which I started a Passione Ricamo freebie called celebrate cross stitch a week or so ago and it is almost complete. I am hoping that i will get it finished tonight so that i can start a new year with a new project - which will be the start of the christmas ornament exchange on stitchingfanatics.

all that is left now is to say thank you for all the messages and comments i have received off people on mulitply and to wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year!

I thought i would write these down now while i remember them

I don't have too many that i would like to list as i don't always stick with what i write down but for these I HAVE to stay with and complete.

Start, finish, complete and send out to ornies to Jen - 1 per month

complete the Passione Ricamo sampler freebie for Sarah and send out by march 1st - this has already been started!

Try and get Royal holiday completed by the end of 2008

Tuesday, 25 December 2007

Good Morning :-)

I hope that everyone had a lovely day yesterday, got spoilt rotten, ate lots of good food and had good company, even if it was only your family!
I had lots of lovely presents yesterday including 5 charts off dave - 3 Passione Ricamo ones, My Lady of the snow, Queen of the Fairies and Enchanted Fairy. He also got me 2 Mirabilia ones, Portrait of Caroline in Pink and Portrait of Lauren in blue as well as a small bottle of Ghost Deep Night perfume. The kids got me lots of little things, a cute teddy, a best mum keyring a snowglobe were just a few.
Stace came and spent a few hours with us which was really nice, it made our Christmas
Well today will be a lot quieter and not as hectic. No big dinner to cook, just turkey, pickles, garlic bread and chips - yum yum.
I will add photos of the stash that dave gave me in a little while as i want to eat and then get the coleslaw made for dinner later on.
Happy Holidays

December 9th

Its been a few days again since i updated anything.

I have added in lots of new daily pics of the babies, they have grown so much and hopefully one has been sold already to one of my eldest daughters friends.

I have put Royal Holiday away for a bit as i got bored with her again. Yesterday i picked up my Cewec sepia Mother and Baby project in stead and I am happy to say she is now half done it has only taken me ove a year to get this far!

I am almost done for christmas, i have to go finish off on Tuesday and what i don't get then it will be tough luck LOL

got some HW to do then i can stitch the rest of the day away on mother and baby, even though i really need to start my RR for the intergroup RR that i set up a mnth or so ago.

Well sitting typing on here isnt getting the HW done, happy sunday everyone!

December 1st

Well i have finally gotten round to adding in new photos on here.

I have put in an updated pic of Royal Holiday, pics of the kids visit to Byrkley Park and Santa and the 1st pic of the new baby bunnies

I cant believe the change in the weather, yesterday was cold and damp, then came with rain and winds yet today sees a bright sunny and warmer day. I have sat and written most of my christmas cards this morning with just a few more to make and some to post overseas which i shall get done really soon.

Today see's the Gathering of the Clans as Von has called it LOL. It is a gathering of some yahoo cross stitch groups on yahoo messenger for a chat and a giggle. This is only the 2nd time we will be doing it and I hope it won't be the last time as we had a really good time last month with a good 2 hour chat.

I am going to get Royal Holiday out again and put some more stitching in on her and then will look for an ornament to stitch for a friend.

Happy stitching everyone!

november 29th

Yesterday saw us putting up our christmas tree, a nice white one this year covered in silver, blue's and pink's decorations.

What has made me laugh just was we were talking to some of the kids and Chris (youngest child) was singing christmas carols that he has learnt in the last couple of weeks when we started talking about his character that he is playing in the school christmas play in a few days time and Katie said there are 3 kings giving presents of Gold, Frankenstein and then Gem said Mercy. Talk about make us laugh

Still no stitching done this week, no presents wrapped either and certainly no more cards made! I am rapidly falling behind for christmas this year which isnt good On the good side we picked up our turkey yesterday too and I don't have too many more presents to buy thank goodness.

hope everyone else is managing to get some stitching done!

november 27th

Yesterday i managed to pick up some stitching for a little while. I didnt get alot done, just some of the dark swirls on the bottom part of RH dress but its looking really good even if i do say so myself

We found out yesterday morning the one of my bunnies was expecting, she had made a nest. While i was out with hubby at the hospital for a check up on his leg she gave birth to we think about 7 or 8 babies. Now normally the babies die as she hadnt been looking after them so this time we took the father out and up to now they are still alive which is great news!

I forgot to mention in yesterdays post that i took the 2 youngest to see Santa at a garden center a few miles from where we live. We queued for nearly 2 hrs to see him but it was worth it to see their faces when they saw him for the first time. I took a few pics of santa and the animals they had there so i will upload those soon to share.

Today i am off to Hobby Craft. I have only ever been to 1 hobbycraft shop before so i am really looking forward to going, don't know what i will buy if anything but its going to be good going to a big craft shop even just to browse it for a while lol.

happy stitching everyone, stay dry too as its a wet one where we live

26th November

Where has time gone??? Its been just over 2 weeks since i last posted on here so i thought it was time to get posting again!

I havent spent much time on here recently, haven't really felt like being on line too much to be honest, that coupled with the fact that we hardly ever seem to be in since i passed my test just over 2 weeks ago which is ok but when you are a homebird and prefer staying in to going out i start to get a bit homesick.

Stitching wise i haven't done much at all which i feel quite sad about to be honest. My 2 challenge pieces for CSR group has gone by the wayside, Royal Holiday has had a bit done to her but not as much as I would have liked. Instead i have picked up my card making instead and have got some lovely cards made of which i will post pics of them and my stitching once i get the batteries charged up in my camera.

Its that time again, time to get the kids sorted for school, have breakfast and get dressed all in good time for school - roll on December 21st when the christmas holidays start is all i can say!

Have a good day everyone, cross some x's for me

November 5th

Well the weekend was good, saturday we had 3 1/2 hrs of fireworks that were pretty good, the kids enjoyed themselves and in the end i did too.

Yesterday was quiet, i had a bit of a movie day and catching up on stuff on the TV. 3 of the kids went to a friends house to watch their fireworks being set off and for some food.

Stitching wise, last week was pretty good, i did quite a bit on katie's Tinkerbell till the end of the week when my stitching tailed off somewhat. Over the weekend i did do a little but not as much as i would have liked. I worked on Royal Holiday on saturday and yesterday on Winter Rose. I will add pics later on after my driving lesson.

happy stitching everyone

1 november

I have just sat and finished off the Snow White quilt block that I am doing for the quilt that Debi has organised, for a sick little girl.

I will add in the pic of it tomorrow.

Happy stitching!

october 30th

I finally got my new mobile phone today, only 2 days late but hey, better late than never i guess! i have been sitting playing with it and customising it all afternoon

Stitching wise, i have been working on Tink again today and i am pleased with the progress, i will upload a picture of her tomorrow to my WIP album. Not sure how much more i will get to work on her this week as i have a busy few days ahead of me and once the weekend comes around i won't be able to work on Tink so will go back to one of my other projects, maybe go back to Royal Holiday

Happy stitching

Monday, 29 October 2007

Well it has been a while since i last posted but i
have been busy with things at home, taking my driving test and sadly failing, having more driving lessons and stitching on these!

Right below is L&L winter Rose which i started on saturday, to the right is Anchor's Tinkerbell - I believe in fairies. Below her is Mirabilia's Royal Holiday progress and to her left is TIAG Catch the wind.

I have 2 projects that i would like to get finished for Christmas and then i have to 'finish' them off properly in one way or the other.
The kids have gone back to school today thank goodness, the house is all nice and tidy and oh so very quiet!
I managed about an hours worth of decent stitching on Tinkerbell this morning before having a driving lesson, but i dont think i will do any more today as the lesson gave me a headache that is persisting :-(
I should have been having a new mobile phone today but Royal Mail being like they are stuffed it up so I won't be getting it now till tomorrow.
Its is now 17.04pm and we have our curtains shut and the light on, can't believe how dark it has got and the clocks only changed yesterday, oh well we are now in for the long dark nights for the next 5 months or so.
I think i might go pull out the teddy i am knitting for my friend instead of stitching and making these weary eyes hurt more than before
happy stitching everyone!

October 29th update

I have posted pictures in my WIP album of the projects that i have been working on in the last few weeks.

Most of the projects are for myself but Tinkerbell is for my middle daughter for christmas. I have Purple Heart's Puff (a little dragon) for my youngest and then i have to finish off 2 more projects for christmas. As well as this i have a Popcorn Teddy bear to knit up for my very good friend Anne that has been a rock for me.

Happy Stitching

Happy Dancing :-)

I have been a bit quiet due to stitching like mad on this little project

it only took me 2 weeks to stitch it up and i think it looks great, just a shame the camera didnt pick up the colours too good.

As soon as it is completly finished off i will post another picture

septemer 11th 2007 - what a day!!!!

I don't normally post on here too much about my family but yesterday was about the c*******t day i have had in ages.

DH had a hospital appointment yesterday for a mole type spot on his calf muscle. Well they have done a biopsy on it which we really weren't expecting to have done. The Dr did say though that she couldnt see there being any problems with it but i suppose there is a very slim chance there could be something wrong but that could jsut be me worrying like i usually do!!

Last night saw yet another trip to the ER room with our youngest son this time. He was outside playing after school on his little bike when he leant back too far and fell ackwards hitting his head on the concrete. We managed to keep him awake for about 25 minutes before i fell asleep but once he had gone to sleep we couldnt wake him up which was really scary. We didnt know if it was down to him starting school as well as the bump so we called for help, a paramedic came out to us with his lights and sirens going which the kids thought was great. We had a great paramedic see to chris who said that he should really get checked out at hospital. When the ambulance arrived we went outside to it and blow me down with a feather if chris didnt wake up LOL. well anyway we took him up and waited nearly 3 hrs to see someone for a 5 minute consultation only to be told he will be fine - no damage done - apart from a headache and 1 tired hungry little 4 yr old. We had to wake him every hour last night to make sure that he was waking up fine which he was thank goodness.

Well needless to say he has been alot happier today apart from a sore head where the bump is and a slight headache, mum on the other hand is absolutley drained and also has a headache but the main thing is no long lasting damage has been done and our little boy is home safe and sound!

On the stitching front, i have been working on a new project for a friend who's baby is due in december. It is mirabilia's crescent dreams and it is stiching up lovely. I have also worked a little on Royal Holiday - curtesy of Von's groups Tuesday Challenge which i did manage to do again :-)

Tuesday, 11 September 2007

he's completed at long last!

well after all this time he is now complete - yayyyyyyy, now to get him framed at some point but to be honest im not really in any rush to do so right now. I have so much other stash i want to get completed that they will take over i think.

mystical light wizard

here is my progress on him, not too much more to do now, just need some motivation to get working on him and get him completed. Somehow i dont think that he will be done in time for the kids to go back to school on Tuesday but thats ok i don't mind too much.

We are starting a DAL - Diet A Long on 1 of my groups, I am joining in but not too sure on how i will get on with it, i hope to lose some weight but i dont need to lose too much now. But its not just about losing weight this time,i want to start swimming again and am thinking of joining a gym to help me out which will help me even more than just dieting

San Man Originals finish

I couldn't resist stitching this one once i saw it on the SMO board. I started late on saturday night and finished it on sunday evening.

I still haven't done any more on my wizard as i have been to stressed out with having my driving theory test on tuesday.

I will try and get all the full stitches done on the wizard before the weekend and post up a new pic of him.

happy stitching xoxoxoxoxoxox

Sunday, 12 August 2007

Here are my latest biscornu's that i am really enjoying stitching up and adding little beads to the edges. I plan on making a few more of them too.

I am still working away on my wizard and have less than a third left to do infact i have just got a little of the full stitches left to do then its all half stitches. I will upload a pic of him in a little while.
The weather has changed again today from sunny and warm to dull, damp and still warm-ish. just a shame that we didnt put the kids pool up a bit earlier on in the week as now it has to come down again, hopefully they can have it back up again before they return back to school in 3 weeks time.
I have never known such a busy summer holiday before, normally we dont go anywhere or do anything much apart from be with the kids and stay home enjoying the lazier days with lack of school routine, but this time i seem to be going here there and everywhere :-) which i really dont mind so much this year.
My driving lessons are coming on really well and i am going to sit my theory test very very soon with the hope that i pass first time and can go on to do my proper test at the begining of october so keep fingers and toes crossed that i get them all passed and gain our independance back after not having it for nearly 6 years

countdown to christmas has begun

Sunday, 29 July 2007

here is how my wizard is looking right now. I am going to work on him today and will post another progress pic next week.
I really want to get him done before the kids go back to school in september

Saturday, 24 February 2007

Its been a while since i updated my blog i havent felt much like being online with the kids home from school on holidays last week. BUT i have been stitching, i picked up my elf fairy to work on her wings. it took me 4 days to get them done with also finishing off her hat and the christmas tree, now all i need to do is the beading which hopefully wont take too long to do as i am now itching to start another project that i have kitted up today (I will take a pic of the new project tomorrow)

Bottom right is my February ornament stitched up and finished (thanks to Debra) as a halloween ornament.
Its as if my needle has been flying this week, not sure if it will be the same next week but thats ok i will have made up for it this week!
Just over a weeks time will see the kids finishing school again for 9 days cant wait to not have to get up early every morning to get ready for school AND when they do go back the days will be getting lighter and longer which is good to see, makes me want to get up and about when the days are like that
Now then, what shall i work on today now the ornie is done.....................................

latest finish and updates

This is an updated pic of Catch the Wind by Butternut road though i have done a little more on it today.

My latest finish above is a San Man originals secret shop exclusive that Sue bought me last year. It didn't take too long to stitch up and i loved every stitch of it, just a pity that i didnt hang on for a few more days so it could have been the February ornie - oh well i have something else planned for that.

I have also been working on Gem's angel and stace's fairy but i didnt take pics of them yet, i will do so over the next few days, probably after i have done some more on then

Saturday, 27 January 2007

latest finish

I sat and stitched on my glory bee freebie yesterday and finished it just before i went to bed last night.

I learnt some new stitches in the process of doing this one, i learnt Rice stitch and Four-sided over 2 stitch, the other 2 stitches i already knew how to do

Now on to the next project which i think is going to be a San Man Originals one that Sue sent me last year.

Saturday, 20 January 2007

This is the great prize i received from Debra on the ILCS group for taking part in and more or less completing my project challenge in 2006. Thanks debra they are all great and am looking forward to using the ornaments to finish off things - something i hardly ever do!

Updates on my stitching

Here is an update on gems angel that i am still hoping to get completed in time for her birthday in June.
Here it is finally finished, it was a bit of a pain to stitch but well worth it.

Sunday, 14 January 2007

first finish of 2007

Now i am feeling a bit better, i have managed to get a good days worth of stitching in today and got the Just Nan freebie finished, and even if i do say so myself it looks great :-D

i will post up a pic of it tomorrow as it was too late to take a pic today.

Wednesday, 3 January 2007

updates on my stitching

well here at long last are some updates on what i have been stitching in the last few days. the pic below is what will become stacey's 18th birthday present in 2008, i just hope it turns out as well as she wants it too.

this is Just Nan's 2003 freebie called Italian Ice and my progress after 2 days of working on it, it is stitched on 28ct silkweaver evenweave called dusty green that someone has sent me in a past exchange.
these are the last 2 finishes of 2006, very quick ones to stitch up, these are also freebies but from about.com

Tuesday, 2 January 2007

I started my ornament yesterday for my group ornie SAL and did quite well on it till i realised it wasnt all lining up correctly, i had made a small mistake on one leg on the pink and had to unpick it, but i still made good progress on it and am pleased with how it is looking. I am stitching it on 28 ct evenweave from silkweaver in a colour called Dusty Green, i will try and upload a pic of it later on when the light has changed again so i cn get a decent pic of it.

I should also really make an effort to work on gems freebie angel as well, there isnt an awful lot left to do on her but its just wanting to work on her and at the min i dont want to, maybe when the kids are back in school later on in the week i can get back to her.
The pic above is what the ornament should look like when completed.

Wishing you all a Happy 2007, here's to a much better year!
