Not alot has been going on recently right up until the latter end of the week when we had a phone call from one of the kids schools asking us to go pick up one of the kids. Jamie had had someone jump on his back, put him in a headlock (wrestling) and knocked him to the ground where he fell on his arm. So we went down to the school to pick him up and check his arm over which seemed to be swollen but nothing majorly wrong.
We woke on thursday morning to see jamie in considerable pain with his arm that looked quite nasty. It had swollen up over night and was looking a funny colour so we took him up to A&E to our local hospital about 30 mins away from us. They x-rayed it and thankfully there is only soft tissue damage - a sprain and bruising which is going to take up to 3 weeks to heal properly.
Then on Friday our eldest daughter tells us her operation date has finally arrived for Monday 11th February TOMORROW!!! She is so scared rght now as she has received no information what so ever about what they are going to do to her. Its not a long complicated operation thank goodness just a small one to have a device fitted just underneath her skin and attached to her heart for up to a year. This is to record her heartbeat for up to a year to see if the Dr's can find out what is wrong with her heart.
On the best side to the kids half term holiday one of my online friends is coming to visit on Tuesday which is very exciting, we will get to talk craft stuff all the time she is here and hopefully for us both to learn new stuff off each other.
I am also quite excited about my stitching right now too. I had been having a hard time with my stitching for a few weeks and Sarah has asked if i would like to stitch a BAP with her. She wasn't bothered what we did, i asked if we could do L&L celtic autumn with different colours than charted and wearing a hood, its going to be a bit of a challenge for us but also fun too.
I am hoping to have a new finish in a day or so. It is a french freebie that i found. Its a Sillouhette of a lady that has been affectioanlly called Victoria. She is being stitched on some aida i got from sewandso last year and is being stitched in black.
Well thats all the news from me for this week, lets hope this coming week wll be uneventful.
Happy stitching
